The power of softness (Forza morbido)
Children possess a remarkable ability to perceive the divine. What remains elusive to others becomes accessible to them. The world brims with wonders and extraordinary things, and a child's perception is not bound by the limitations of the intellect. Unfettered by mental constructs, children readily embrace the world in all its possibilities. For them, a fairy tale can effortlessly transform into reality.
As people grow up, they move into their minds and stop believing in and experiencing miracles. The world of incredible possibilities closes its doors to adults. Society has defined a system of values and created the rules of the game. But this is not our game. The mind creates all sorts of traps that it itself falls into. However, we are not the mind. We have a mind, but we are not the mind. We have all of this, but we are not it. Children are joyful by nature, because their minds are not yet formed and do not dominate them. But when the mind of a mature adult reaches its highest point of development, then there is an opportunity to go beyond the mind. Then the person becomes a Yogi.
Whatever a Yogi desires, his mind will accomplish that task. The Yogi's mind is a tool in his hands, and he draws joy only from his own soul. True joy comes only from the soul. The mind cannot give what the soul can give. The mind needs interaction and confirmation of joy, but the soul needs nothing for joy and bliss – it is joy and bliss in itself.
To go beyond the mind is the same as becoming a child, becoming simple and natural. When naturalness comes, Samadhi comes. For this to happen, one must let go of everything and relax, and then the possibility will not be lost. The power that stands behind this can do anything, but one needs to relax and not be afraid of what will happen.
